My friend's Lab just had hip surgery. The vet wants to send him home with an Elizabethan collar, but she remembers seeing a new kind of collar that does the same thing. I found the "Bite Not Dog Collar" on line, but she says it is close, but not what she saw and wants. I can't find anything else. She describes it as a neck brace that goes around the neck and fits close to the dog. This way it won't bang against cabinets/doors and won't cut her legs.

Does anyone here know of other brands similar to "Bite Not Collars"?

My dogs love these collars as an alternative to the lampshade. They serve as pillows for crate rest and save my legs from scrapes and bruises when they bump into me.

I like this collar too. Babe used to think it was her personal napping pillow. I have pictures of her in Slumberland with it on.

my friend took these with her cell phone camera because babe started snoring. She was comfortable with her donut pillow.

I'll bet she is thinking of this - Neck's Best Thing - you can cut it to fit:

I used the Pro-Collar (blue donut) for Rody Jane and TwoLane, and it worked great. Petco also carries the Comfy-Cone, which is a more comfortable alternative to the plastic lampshade, but it's black, and the dog can't see through it, so could get started easily.

Here's another - "Soft E-Collar":

That's the other one I bought. it is ok for supervision but Babe figured out to go in her crate and turn around and fold it against the side so she could reach her lesion. Dang independent thinkers.
