For those of you getting no snow, I thought you might like my dog's point-of-view on the snow we've been getting...literally.

They used to be able to look out the sliding glass doors and see the street below us (that's the carport that the door leads out to), but not anymore! There's just too much snow piled up for them to be able to see out.

Scout is tall and she can't see:

Buck can't see even when he stretches up a bit:

Here's the dog's eye view of all this. There's a road out there and a house in the direction Buck's looking, but you sure can't tell:

That's 21 inches of snow piled up there, though we've gotten something close to 90 inches at this point. It melted a bit a few times and blew off a couple other times. If we get about 40 more inches, we'll have a record amount for Anchorage. Good times.

Adorable photos! Please send some of that precipitation down into CA. We're dry as a bone; inches behind our year to date normals. But the pack loves being outside, sunning, gettin' their Vit D.

We actually do have snow in the Phoenix area today. The Raintree Pet Resort in Scottsdale has trucked in a load for dogs to play in. If it wasn`t quite a drive and I hadn`t been doing other things I might have taken Boo. He`s never seen snow.

Wow! That is a lot of snow!! That sure does make it hard for Buck and Scout to keep tabs on what's going on in the neighborhood. :)

We are getting hammered with a snow storm right now. It started last night as freezing rain with about an inch of ice accumulation, and then started dumping heavy, wet snow on us. Our lights have been flickering, I hope we don't lose power! Gyp is loving it, she thinks the snow is awesome... Suri though, not so much.

Barley any snow here this year in Northern Idaho. We got over 18 in in one night last year. This year total maybe we got 6?

Love the pix. We haven't had a single flake of snow on the ground here in NJ. Very weird considering all the snow we had last year and all the fun the doggies had in it. It hasn't even been cold in NJ until the past few days and it's supposed to be back up near 50 (that's fahrenheit for our global friends) by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I have to say that asw much as I prefer Summer, if I have to have Winter I want some snow to make it pretty through the Winter.

At least I can live vicariously through Buck and Scout up there in AK!

What absolutely beautiful dogs -- Scout and Buck (Buck especially) remind me of my McGill and Margot's face makes me think of my Keeshond girls -- all at the Bridge.

When I took Kate out today (16 Jan.) just after lunch, it was sunny and 70 degrees.
That's at least 5 degrees too cold for my taste.
I used to wear a coat at work when I was in an air conditioned building.
My idea of winter is a two week ski trip to Colorado. Then it's back to the Deep South.

Let it shine, let it shine!
