View Full Version : Nash's weekend visit w/his lab buddy Zoey

We're puppy-sitting Zoey, our dear friends' lab, this weekend because they're out of town. I think Zoey is about a year old now, and when I brought her home Friday afternoon, she & Nash just picked up right where they last saw each other four months ago. They are hilarious to watch together, and just non-stop wrestle from room-to-room. They're such puppies! Here are some photos I took, and thankfully I got my Jake's Tugs order on Friday so that Nash & Zoey could stop wrestling for awhile - THANKS, MEL! :biggrin2:

It's amazing how WELL-MANNERED dogs can be when they want a Jake's Tug!

Driving home after yesterday's "Bow Wow Pow Wow" (a Kiwani's fundraiser - I'll post photos of that separately):

And some great nose/window photos when I stopped by Kahoot's, one of our local feed stores, to pick up more dog food:

Mel, my boys look the same way when I bring out my Jake's Tug. We have been doing a trial at home, with no balls and no throwing in the back yard, to reduce possessiveness based aggro from Bud to Chip and now they only get timed play where they interact with each other. It is also an effort to make them go back to playing and chasing each other around the yard so going outside is not automatically associated with me throwing balls for them, which is what used to happen.
It's slowly working :thumb_yello:. They now go and look around the yard and find different things to play with, like the palm frond I filmed and put on FB.
Thanks for sharing your pics!

What a team they make. They look like they really enjoy each other's company. It's great that you can watch your friend's dog. It's hard for me to do that. My oldest ACD doesn't accept dogs that my other two do.

Great pictures Mel!! I had to laugh at the one of the two dogs in the car after Bow Wow Pow Wow. Zoey looks tired and Nash, as a typical cattledog, looks fresh and ready to go. LOL!! :naughty:
