Hard to believe someone could do this.

Scum! I'd like to skin whoever did that.

Reminds me of this article late last year of a puppy tortured in Mackay, down south of us.

As I often say, where did the word "humanity" come from? Certainly not from humans like these.

Someone should skin the SOB that did this.

That is just sick. I know of a horse that was skinned in the pasture of a church and the hide was placed on the sign for people to see as they drove by. I also knew the person who did it. He was a mental case of a young man. At least he was jailed before he went on to a killing spree and escalating to humans.

UGH! Like I said before... there is a special place in hell for people like that...

I dont even know why you would post this crap. Best off left to the scum that love to read about this rubbish. I feel we dont need this on AUCADO, especially me in my state of mind at the moment.

I really cant handle this crap.

Crap like this needs to be publicized, IMO. Maybe if enough people repeatedly see this type of behavior we can finally get stiffer punishments for the offenders. Sorry I disrupted your state of mind.

We have some amazing dog people in our company. The second link illustrated that, as we were one of the companies putting up the reward. So pardon me for upsetting you and ruining your day. Meanwhile, I'll continue to be active in trying to persuade change.

I agree that people should know that these things do happen, as upsetting as it is. I saw the title and chose not to read the link, as I knew how upset it would make me. Everyone does have that choice.

Don't know if you guys are aware, but we've had a serial cat killer loose in Cutler Bay & Coral Gables here in Miami Dade County.

It has brought fear, disgust, and concern throughout the pet-owning community!

Since May, this maniac has not only caught & killed local cats, he skins them, dismembers them, or even decapitates them, then poses them in their owners yards or props their severed heads in the windows.

It's very very scary and there are over 24 cats recovered believed to be the victims of the same lunatic... with another 16 possible! and to be placed, posed, into their owners yards is even more disturbing!!!

It's frustrating that there is no leads and the police need to take this more seriously before this maniac turns his attention onto children...also, these are both very fine, upscale neighborhoods!

The news just started to bring this horrible psycho antics to the airwaves out here. Simply horrible. We all know what a pack of AuCaDo's ladies (and gents) would do if we could only have just a moment with the killer.......

there are hushed whispers amongst my fellow vet tech students that this crazed individual must be a college student, since the killer began targeting cats in early May. also, there seems to be a type of surgical precision to the mutilations...so possibly a med student??? **shiver**

18-Year-Old Arrested in Cat Mutilations

posted: 1 HOUR 58 MINUTES AGO

MIAMI (June 14) - Authorities say a teenager has been arrested and accused of committing a series of cat mutilation deaths in his Miami area community.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office says 18-year-old Tyler Weinman was taken into custody early Sunday. He is charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body and four counts of burglary.

State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle says she hopes the residents of the Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay neighborhoods "will feel relieved and their cats will be safe once again."

Prosecutors say Weinman is in police custody. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney yet.

Horrified owners have been finding their cats killed and mutilated for the past month. Investigators have been looking into about two dozen deaths.

I just don't understand why there aren't more severe punishments for these types of psychopaths??? Doesn't our legal system understand that animals are just a stepping stone to humans? If someone can murder and mutilate animals in such cold blood... they will eventually progress to people...

I have a degree in psychology (concentration in criminal behaviors) - and had an entire semester where we evaluated and reported on both past and current cases of people who murdered and mutilated people - and a LARGE majority of them started with animals...

How does the saying go?? "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it..." You would think our justice system would get a clue...
